Bill Hader Says Season 3 and 4 of HBO's Hitman Comedy Series BARRY Have Been Written

HBO’s hitman comedy series Barry is a great show that is so freakin’ funny! It’s one of my favorites and I’ve been waiting to see how the story continues. Bill Hader stars in the show and in a recent interview with Late Night with Seth Meyers, the actor offers an update on the series.

He reveals that during the pandemic, the creative team finished writing both seasons 3 and 4. Hader explained:

“Right when the lockdown happened in March, we were a week away from shooting. So the last time I was in a room with a lot of people was the table read episodes one and two of season three, and we were ready to go. Then it all got shut down. Season three is completely written, ready to go, and then during this time we actually went and wrote season four. So we have both of those kinda done. We’re just waiting until we can start shooting again.”

This is great news! Especially since there’s been no news about HBO ordering a fourth season. Obviously, the fact that Hader and co-creator Alec Berg wrote the fourth season indicates that we are going to get a fourth season. It just hasn’t been formally announced by HBO yet, but I assume that will eventually come.

The first two seasons of Barry are brilliant and with the cliffhanger that we were left with at the end of Season 2, new episodes of the series can’t get here soon enough! If for some reason you haven’t watched Barry yet, go start watching it now!
