Bill Murray Set To Star in The New Farrelly Brothers Comedy Series THE NOW
The upcoming streaming service Quibi has been gathering together a lot of big talent to help bring their projects to life. The latest big name to jump on board is the great Bill Murray!
Murray will star in a new comedy series called The Now which is being developed by writer and director Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly (Green Book, Dumb and Dumber) and he will star alongside the previously cast Dave Franco.
The Now centers on “Ed Poole (Franco), who is about to take his own life when he finds out from his mother that his brother just died by suicide and his dad also did in the past. Ed quickly realizes the only thing that will make his life worth living is to ‘forget the past, screw the future and just live in the now.’”
There’s no information on who Murray is playing, but according to Variety, Murray has already wrapped up shooting his part in the series, while production on it is still underway. The cast for the series also includes O’Shea Jackson Jr., Daryl Hannah, Jimmy Tatro, Alyssa Milano, Rob Yang and Lex Scott Davis.
The Now is one of dozens of series in the works at the short-form content platform, which is slated to launch in April 2020.
