Bill Skarsgård is Reportedly Eyed for New MCU Role and It’s Not Kro From ETERNALS
Bill Skarsgård, who is known for his chilling performances in IT and Nosferatu, may be gearing up for another run in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to insider @MyTimeToShineH: "Marvel Studios is interested in Bill Skarsgård for a new MCU role. Not his Eternals role."
When Eternals hit theaters in 2021, it was met with mixed reception, becoming Marvel Studios' first "Rotten" film on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie struggled at the box office and while I didn’t really care for the film, it still had moments that resonated with fans.
The film also introduced major elements to the MCU, including the massive Celestial Tiamut, which introduces adamantium to the MCU, which will have big role in the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World.
As for what the future holds for the future of Eternals, Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President, said last summer: "There are no immediate plans for Eternals 2. We’re very proud of that movie. That cast was incredible. We’d be lucky to get any of them back at some point."
As for Skarsgård’s Kro, the CGI-heavy villain was sidelined in the film, leaving many viewers feeling the character and the actor deserved better as the character made a much bigger impact in the comic books.
Speculation online has suggested a variety of potential roles for Skarsgård, with Mister Sinister being a popular choice among fans.
The actor is known for his versatility and physical transformations, and Skarsgård could bring a compelling presence to another villain or antihero in the MCU.
For now, the details remain under wraps, but if this casting rumor ends up being true, it could mark an exciting new role Skarsgård in the MCU.
Are there any Marvel characters that you’d like to see Skarsgård play?
