BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC Writer Shares BTS Look at Bill and Ted's Daughters; Alex Winter Shares Heartfelt Message

Things are just falling into place for the upcoming—and long-awaited—third part of the Bill and Ted franchise, Bill and Ted Face the Music. It’s so awesome for fans, because the original writer of the first two films, Ed Solomon, is back to write this film, and the original stars are back as well. The roles of Bill and Ted’s daughters have been cast, and Solomon recently tweeted out this picture from his wall of the production office:

In a previous report, producer Scott Kroopf had this to say about the casting choice:

“When we saw Samara and Brigette together, it was like deja vu. It was exactly the way we felt when we first saw Keanu and Alex. We are so thrilled to have this funny and unique pair join the Bill and Ted team!”

There’s obviously a resemblance, and a fun reference to the fact that the guys named their daughters after one another. I just couldn’t be more excited for this movie! It will definitely be most excellent.

Alex Winter also tweeted out this heartfelt message as production on the film began:

Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) is directing the film from a script written by original franchise screenwriters Chris Matheson and Solomon. Here’s the synopsis that was released for the movie:

Following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Reeves).  Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe.  Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.

Kid Cudi also recently joined the cast, and it will be released on August 21st, 2020.
