Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen To Play Timon and Pumbaa in Disney's THE LION KING
Hakuna matata! According to The Wrap, director Jon Favreau and Disney have cast Billy Eichner (Billy on the Street, Bob's Burgers) and Seth Rogen (you all know who he is) as Timon and Pumbaa in the upcoming feature film adaptation of The Lion King. The two actors recently worked together in the comedy Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.
They seem like a solid pair of comedic talent to voice these popular characters. It's not hard to imagine them providing the voices of them, that's for sure. The two characters were originally wonderfully voiced by Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella. It will be interesting to see what Rogen and Eichner end up doing with the characters to make them their own.
Rogen and Eichner join the previously cast Donald Glover in the lead role of Simba, and James Earl Jones will be reprising his role as Simba's father Mufasa.
What do you think of Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen as Timon and Pumbaa?
