BLACK MIRROR Season 5 Trailers Released for Each of the 3 Episodes
Netflix has released three new trailers for Black Mirror Season 5. Each of the trailers highlights one of the three episodes that will air. Yeah, unfortunately we are only getting three episodes this season. I was hoping for at least double that, but it didn’t happen. I’ll enjoy whatever I can get, though! Even though there are only three episodes, they all look great and wonderfully disturbing.
I love this series as it’s like a modern day Twilight Zone that centers around the dangers and horrors of modern day technology. This next season will features a solid cast of actors that include Miley Cyrus, Anthony Mackie, Andrew Scott, and Topher Grace. The title of these episodes are “Smithereens,” “Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too,” and “Striking Vipers.”
“Smithereens” stars Andrew Scott as a “cab driver with an agenda [who] becomes the centre of attention on a day that rapidly spirals out of control.”
“Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too” stars Miley Cyrus and follows a lonely teenager who “yearns to connect with her favorite pop star – whose charmed existence isn’t quite as rosy it appears…”
“Striking Vipers” stars Anthony Mackie, and the story follows “two estranged college friends reunite in later life, triggering a series of events that could alter their lives forever.”
Black Mirror is an anthology series that taps into our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia leading to an unforgettable – and sometimes unsettling – conclusion. Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our lives; in every home; on every desk; in every palm – a plasma screen; a monitor; a Smartphone – a Black Mirror reflecting our 21st Century existence back at us. The series is created and written by Charlie Brooker, and executive produced by Brooker and Annabel Jones.
Black Mirror season five debuts on Netflix on June 5th, 2019.
