BLACK PANTHER is Exploding at the Box Office with Over $387 Million Worldwide!

It looks like Marvel's Black Panther is going to explode over Presidents Day weekend! The movie is blowing away expectations! It was originally estimated that the movie would $100 to $120 million on its opening weekend but has soared to an estimated $192 million domestically for the three-day portion of the weekend as it plays in 4,020 theaters. That makes it the highest debut ever for a February movie beating out Deadpool, which made $132.4 million in 2016. Projections also have it making over $387 million at the worldwide box office! How freakin' great is that!?

The movie is expected to gross over $218.2 million domestically through Monday. On Friday, the movie made $76 million, which is the eighth-highest opening day in box office history and the third largest opening day ever for a Marvel Studios film.

Black Panther was made on $200 million budget. And in case you haven't heard, it's the first Marvel movie sinceThe Avengers to receive an A+ CinemaScore.
