BLACK PANTHER Isn't Just The King of Wakanda, He's Now The King of The Superhero Movie Box Office

Black Panther has kicked so much ass at the Box Office! The film has already broken a ton of records, but now it is the highest-grossing superhero movie of all time at the box-office in North America.

Over the weekend Black Panther surpassed the $630 million in earnings, flying past the $623.4 million earned by Marvel’s The Avengers in 2012 to become the highest grossing superhero movie ever domestically.

I don't think anyone expected this happen before the movie was released. It's pretty incredible to see how much it blew up and how much the fans have embraced it. I imagine it won't sit long on the throne, though, with the release of Avengers: Infinity War upon us. If that doesn't de-throne Black Panther, I don't know what will.

The film is also the seventh film ever to earn more than $600 million at the North American box office and it's the sixth highest grossing movie of all time.

As far as worldwide box office goes it has made $1.2 billion so far and is expected to blow past Iron Man 3's $1.214 billion. The Avengers sits at $1.5 billion and Age of Ultron earned $1.4.

Marvel Studios and the creative team behind the film did a great job and their hard work is paying off.
