BLACK PANTHER On Track For $235 Million Opening Weekend

Black Panther is on track for a $235 million opening weekend, although we won't know for sure until the conclusion of President's Day. Variety said as of Sunday evening Disney had projections for the film at $217 million, but then revised that number early this morning by another $18 million due to children being out of school for President's Day.

That's an insane opening weekend for a film, and blows the previous record for a President's Day weekend film (Deadpool $120 million) out of the water.

Basically, a lot of people saw Black Panther this weekend, and this is looking like it could be one of Marvel's highest grossing films of all time. Is it deserving of that title?
