BLACKWATER REDUX Lets Your D&D Party Bring Down Some Drug Lords

Christian Eichhorn has a new Dungeons & Dragons adventure for players and DMs to enjoy: Blackwater Redux. This adventure takes place in Eberron, but with some thinking it can easily be adapted for any other setting.

The adventuring party will deal with drug lords with themes loosely based on real-world conflicts. Because of this, Eichhorn does recommend talking to any players who may be former or active soldiers beforehand. Also, don’t expect it to feel very whimsical.

Blackwater Redux is designed with dark horror notes with influences including Apocalypse Now by John Milius and Francis Ford Coppola, The Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, and The Call of Cthulhu by H. P. Lovecraft.

Drugs dull the damages of the Last War; gold fuels the fires which might ignite the next. A band of ragtag mercenaries must venture into the putrid swamps of the Shadow Marches to topple the drug lords of Droaam. To achieve their goals, they may have to leave something of themselves behind; in the heart of darkness.

You can purchase Blackwater Redux from DMs Guild for $14.99.
