Blake Lively Set To Star in Producer Shawn Levy's Post-Apocalyptic Thriller DARK DAYS AT THE MAGNA CARTA
Blake Lively is teaming up with Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy for a new post-apocalyptic thriller coming to Netflix titled Dark Days at the Magna Carta.
The movie is described as “a character-driven thriller set against a catastrophic event and centers on a woman going to extreme lengths to survive and save her family.” The concept revolves around a pandemic that takes hold in the U.S. “While the story is not related to a contagion, a world-altering event is a key foil and themes of isolation and strength of family emerge.”
Lively will obviously be playing the woman and this is being eyed as a possible franchise vehicle for the actress, who is also producing. The script for the film is being written by up and coming writer Michael Paisley, who was working in the CAA mailroom two years ago and went on to be a writer’s production assistant on the Netflix fantasy series The Witcher. Paisley also came up with the original concept for the story which is envisioned as a trilogy.
