Blake Lively Set to Star in the Psychological Thriller WE USED TO LIVE HERE
Blake Lively is set to star in and produce a new film project being produced by Netflix titled We Used to Live Here. The film is based on a psychological thriller novella written by Marcus Kliewer.
The novella was published as part of Reddit’s No Sleep feature, the story is about “returning to your old childhood home only to realize it is not quite what you remember. A homeowner gets a knock at her door while her partner is at work. It’s a husband, wife and kids. They are peculiar, and the man says he once lived in the house and wanted to take a look around. The homeowner is just getting used to the old house herself, and things get progressively weirder as a snowstorm strands the visitors as they just won’t leave. The homeowner can’t get rid of them, and winds up sorry she ever opened the door as events progress.”
That certainly sounds like it could make for quite an intense thriller. I’ve actually had an experience like this before. I was staying at my wife’s family home years ago while they were away one weekend and this woman showed up wanting to look around the house saying she grew up there. She was definitely drunk, I said no, but she just pushed herself right in. She looked around and headed for one of the back bedrooms where she just laid down in one of the beds and fell asleep. It wasn’t until I threatened to call the police that she finally got up and left, and as she left she was cussing me out! It was so weird, and it was an awkward situation that I did not want to be in and I didn’t know how it would turn out.
Anyway, this is a great project for Lively to be a part of, and I’m sure she’ll give a fantastic performance. Lively also recently signed on to star in and produce Netflix’s adaptation of Lady Killer, which is based on the Dark Horse Comics series.
