Blake Lively Transforms Into a Total Badass in Trailer For The Revenge Thriller THE RHYTHM SECTION
We have an awesome trailer for you to check out for the film The Rhythm Section, based on the novel by Mark Burnell, in which Blake Lively transforms from grief stricken to machine on the warpath in this tale of revenge and redemption.
Lively plays a woman who has lost her family in a plane crash, who then finds out that the crash was no accident, but that there was actually a bomb on board. She is out for blood to make amends, and she has never looked better.
The film is directed by Reed Morano, who made her career as a cinematographer before venturing into the world of directing, and has made her mark on episodes of The Handmaids Tale, as well as the 2018 film, I Think We’re Alone Now. Lively is joined in the cast by Jude Law (The Talented Mr. Ripley, Captain Marvel), Max Casella (Blue Jasmine, The Detour), and Sterling K. Brown (This is Us, Black Panther).
Here’s the synopsis:
Blake Lively (#BlakeLively) stars as Stephanie Patrick, an ordinary woman on a path of self-destruction after her family is tragically killed in a plane crash. When Stephanie discovers that the crash was not an accident, she enters a dark, complex world to seek revenge on those responsible and find her own redemption. Based on the novel by Mark Burnell, from director Reed Morano (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) and the producers of the James Bond film series, The Rhythm Section (#TheRhythmSection) also stars Jude Law and Sterling K. Brown.
I am super excited for this film, and I think Lively looks great in it. It’s a substantial character that I think my be a turning point for the actress, and I think the story is meaty and intriguing. Check out the trailer below, and see The Rhythm Section in theatres on January 31st, 2020.
