BLEACH Creator Tite Kubo's New BURN THE WITCH Anime Adaptation Gets a Trailer
It was recently confirmed that at the BLEACH 20th Anniversary Project & Tite Kubo New Project Presentation that creator Tite Kubo’s 2018 one-shot Burn The Witch will get a full serialization that is coming to Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. It was also announced that Burn the Witch would be getting an anime adaptation as well and there’s a trailer for that which you can check out below.
The anime will make its debut with a special theatrical adaptation for its initial one-shot. it will be produced by Studio Colorido, and it will be directed by Tatsuro Kawano (Gatchaman Crowds) with Yuji Shimizu serving as assistant director. Chika Suzumura is handling the scripts, Natsuki Yamada will serve as character designer, Keisuke Okura will be designing the dragons designs, and Keiji Inai will compose the music.
The story is set in the same world as Kubo's Bleach and takes place 12 years after the events of the Thousand-Year Blood War. The one-shot centers on Noel Niihashi and Nini Spangle, who work as witches at the Wing Bird headquarters in Reverse London's Natural Dragon Management Agency. Those who live in Reverse London are able to see supernatural creatures such as dragons. Noel and Nini work to help promote coexistence between these creatures and humans, but sometimes must undergo missions to exterminate evil creatures.
The lead voice actors for the Burn the Witch anime will be Yuina Yamada (Mirasa in Kuromukuro) voicing Noel Niihashi and Asami Tano (Saki Nikaido in ZOMBIE LAND SAGA) voicing Spangle Ninii.
The serialization, which will take place a day or so after his one-shot, will launch in Jump in Summer 2020, while the anime film is scheduled to be released in Fall 2020. Check out the trailer:
