BLEACH: THOUSAND-YEAR BLOOD WAR Final Season Trailer Unleashes Stunning New Battles

Bleach fans are finally heading toward the finish line, and the new trailer for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War final season looks absolutely awesome.

When the original Bleach anime wrapped up in 2012, it left a huge chunk of Tite Kubo’s manga untouched. The “Thousand-Year Blood War” storyline never made it to the screen, which left fans hanging for over a decade.

Then in 2022, Studio Pierrot and Viz Media revived the franchise with Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, finally adapting the final arc and giving longtime viewers the ending they’d been waiting for.

Now the fourth and final part, subtitled The Calamity, is set to premiere this July, and the newly released trailer teases a visually gorgeous conclusion packed with intense action and some seriously cool character moments.

The footage throws fans right back into the chaos as Ichigo Kurosaki and the Soul Reapers continue their war against Yhwach and the Quincy forces of the Wandenreich.

The trailer moves fast, but there’s plenty to catch. Ichigo looks ready for one last brutal showdown with Yhwach, and several fan-favorite characters get standout moments along the way.

Yoruichi appears ready to tear through enemies at lightning speed, Uryū gets some emotionally charged shots, and Kisuke looks as slick and unpredictable.

Even for fans who had mixed feelings about the original manga version of the “Thousand-Year Blood War” arc, the anime adaptation has managed to win over a lot of viewers.

Some still see the arc as one of Bleach’s strongest stories, while others think it stumbled in places, but the anime has largely delivered the kind of scale, emotion, and animation quality fans hoped for.

One of the biggest reasons fans are excited for this final season is that Kubo previously confirmed the anime would include brand-new material that wasn’t in the manga. That means even longtime readers won’t completely know what’s coming.

Viz also announced that fans will be able to watch the first three episodes early during special theatrical screenings, with details expected soon.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity premieres in July on Hulu and Disney+.
