BLINDFIRE Trailer Tells The Story of a Cop Who Unjustifiably Kills a Black Man and Believes it Was a Set Up

A trailer has been released for an upcoming crime drama titled Blindfire that tells the timely story of a cop who unjustifiably kills an innocent black man while responding to a violent hostage call. The cop believes that this was a set-up and while searching for the person responsible, he examines his own accountability. The story directly confronts some of the main issues that we are seeing right now in society.

Here’s the synopsis:

Inspired by actual events, Blindfire follows Will Bishop (Geraghty), a white cop who responds to a violent hostage call and unjustifiably kills the Black man (Okonkwo) in his own home. After Bishop learns of the victim'a innocence and is suddenly facing repercussions for his actions, he is forced to confront extremely difficult conversations with his partner (Leal), as well as the family of the victim, and must examine his own accountability while attempting to find the person who he feels is actually responsible for the tragic chain of events. 

The film stars Brian Geraghty as the police officer along with Sharon LealBethany Joy LenzEdwina Findley DickersonJim BeaverChiké Okonkwo, and Wayne Brady.

Blindfire was both written and directed by Michael Nell and it will be released in "virtual cinemas" on November 13th, then on VOD starting November 20th.
