Blizzard Is Developing a POKEMON GO Style WARCRAFT Mobile Game

If you’re a fan of Pokemon Go and Warcraft, you’ll be happy to hear that Blizzard is developing a new mobile Warcraft mobile game that’s structured in the form of Pokemon Go.

Kotaku recently spoke to some of the developers familiar with Blizzard’s future projects, and mobile gaming was a big topic of conversation for them.

One of these developers that works at Blizzard told the site that “there are lots of mobile game players at Blizzard,” and several of the developers at the game company are big fans of Pokemon Go.

The report states, “The natural extension of that was for one of Blizzard’s incubation teams to develop a Warcraft version of Pokémon Go, which is in development for smartphones now.”

There’s a shit-ton of money that can be made with a game like this. As for what we can expect from the gameplay, the report says that “those who have already played the game internally said it has more to it than just Pokemon Go features. The report stated the game also has single-player mechanics, though the report didn’t go into detail about what those might be.”

There’s no word on when we will see this Warcraft mobile game get released, but I’m curious to see how it turns out.

Would you play a Pokemon Go-style Warcraft mobile game?
