BLUEY: THE VIDEOGAME Brings the Best Show on Disney+ to Consoles & PC
This is an amazing time in my apartment. Last week, during the Nintendo Direct, a SPY x FAMILY video game was announced and then more recently, a Bluey video game was announced. Bluey: The Videogame comes from developer Artax Games and publisher Outright Games in partnership with BBC Studios. In the game, up to four players will play as the Heeler family: Bluey, Bingo, Mum (Chili), and Dad (Bandit). It’s described as a sandbox adventure that will let you fully explore Bluey’s home as well as other iconic locations. Based on the description below, it’ll be a sandbox but then you go to certain areas and it’ll let you do a short level/activity for the “story-driven episodic gameplay.” It is exciting that there’s a brand-new 4-part storyline as well.
"Bluey: The Videogame" has been designed with flexibility in mind, allowing fans to engage with the game and explore it at their own pace with the ability to jump between story quests, activities, and exploration at any time. Variable difficulty features have been included that allow the game to be accessible and fun for both preschool and older fans including UI on/off toggle, simple written on-screen instructions and full voice-over. Players will be able to utilize physics-based mechanics to manipulate objects, interact with the world around them, add additional challenges to mini-games, and support free-play in the sandbox.
We also know that Bluey: The Videogame will feature minigames like Magic Xylophone and Keepy Uppy. In addition, you’ll unlock items like costumes. If they don’t have the tiger and zebra onesies for those, they’re doing it wrong! I am over the moon excited to play this video game and I know it’s going to be the go-to game for family game night for quite a while after it releases. Speaking of, Bluey: The Videogame will release on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4/5, and Xbox consoles on November 17. Physical copies are available to pre-order from various retailers including GameStop (affiliate link).
