Blumhouse is Considering Making a Movie Based on Halloween Horror Nights
Jason Blum of Blumhouse Pictures has a new horror movie idea that he’s toying with. During an interview with Collider, Blum revealed that he is interested in producing a horror movie inspired by Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. When asked about it, he said:
“Yes! Definitely! We’ve actually talked about it. We haven’t quite figured it out, but there’s definitely a movie in Halloween Horror Nights somewhere.”
Blumhouse has been very involved with the Halloween Horror Nights event over the years. Every year I go, they have mazes set up inspired by their movies. Blum also says that he’s “very enthusiastic” about the possibility of Blumhouse’s upcoming film The Hunt, joining this year’s Halloween Horror Nights.
Things will take kind of a meta turn if Blumhouse actually does make a movie about Halloween Horror Nights. I think there’s a very strange, unique, and fun movie concept here. The question is will they think outside the box on it and deliver something cool? Or will they just give us more of the same of what we’ve already seen done before?
