Blumhouse's Reimagining of FANTASY ISLAND Gets a Poster and Synopsis
Blumhouse and Sony Pictures have released the first poster and story details for their upcoming reimagining of the classic TV series Fantasy Island. This is going to be a horror-themed mystery movie, and I believe that a trailer for it will be released online next week.
While we wait for that trailer to drop you can check the poster below, and here’s the synopsis:
“The Enigmatic Mr. Roarke (played by Michael Peña) makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.”
Truth or Dare’s Jeff Wadlow is directing the film from a script he write with co-scribes Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs. The movie also stars Lucy Hale (Truth or Dare), Michael Rooker, Charlotte McKinney, Parisa Fitz-Henley, and Austin Stowell.
Fantasy Island opens in theaters on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2020.
