Boba Fett Actor Daniel Logan Uses Real Life Boba Fett Flamethrower to Attack a Boba Fett Dummy

Star Wars has teamed up with IBM to bring a really cool video series to the internet called Science and Star Wars. This series tackles technological topics from the Star Wars universe and looks to see how close our world is getting to that tech. They’ve talked about Robotic Limbs, Bacta Tanks and Carbonite, and now they talk about the most famous bounty hunter from Star Wars, Boba Fett. In this video, they discuss some of the tools Boba uses in the Star Wars films including his armor, helmet, jetpack, and most importantly, the wrist flamethrower.

To add to this excitement, they get Daniel Logan who played young Boba Fett in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones to come in and use a knife, a laser, and even a mini flamethrower on a dummy of Boba Fett that uses Kevlar armor to test the effectiveness of these weapons. The take away for me was that Kevlar armor is freaking incredible, and while we have tech that starts getting into the realm of Star Wars, we still have a long way to go.
