Boba Fett Actor Temuera Morrison Will Also Reportedly Be Playing Captain Rex in THE MANDALORIAN
Last week we learned that Temuera Morrison was cast in Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian and that he will be playing Boba Fett. A lot of Star Wars fans were excited by the news, and even though he will only be playing a small role in Season 2, that will open up the possibility of seeing him more in the future.
Well, according to a few reports, Boba Fett isn’t the only character that Morrison might be playing in the series. Like many fans have speculated already, Morrison could also be playing Captain Rex, from The Clone Wars and Rebels.
Cinelinx's Jordan Maison sent out the following Tweet after the report came out:
Nerdist also reported in their coverage of the news that reliable sources have indicated to them that Morrison will indeed play both Fett and Rex.
It certainly makes sense to see Captain Rex in Season 2, especially since Ahsoka is going to be a part of the story and introducing the live-action versions of these characters together would be awesome. As you know, Jango’s DNA was used to create the clone army of the Republic in Attack of The Clones, so Captain Rex would look identical to Jango Fett.
This is just a rumor for now, but I know a lot of fans want to see this happen. I can’t wait to see what Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are going to give us in Season 2!
