Boba Fett Spaghetti Western Fan Film - THE TWELVE PARSEC STARE

As most of you already know, Star Wars was heavily inspired by the western film genre, but ultimately created its own sci-fi fantasy universe. RuinedFilms has created a great short film called The Twelve Parsec Stare, which takes that concept and magnifies the spaghetti western influence. The film focuses on the bounty hunter Boba Fett, who is tracking someone down in the badlands of the far reaches of the galaxy.

Some of the special effects aren't the greatest, but it's still a really cool fan film that's worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of both westerns and Star Wars

Boba Fett, the infamous intergalactic bounty hunter, has tracked his next prey into a dusty saloon in the outskirts of a remote space port. In the shadows of the busy space bar the hunter confronts his target’s three sinister henchmen. Who will blink first?

The Twelve Parsec Stare is a Finnish Star Wars -inspired short film with combining the Sci-Fi and the Western genres as its ambition. The non-commercial, non-profit project was funded entirely by the production team and the film has been made from start to finish in the duration of 2015, including the week-long filming period.

I would love to see Lucasfilm develop more of a western-style Star Wars film like this somewhere down the line. It would work perfectly for characters like Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and more.
