BOND 25 Halts Production After Daniel Craig is Injured While Shooting
The long road to getting Bond 25 made just got a little bit longer. The film production hit another hurdle when Daniel Craig sustained an injury while shooting an action scene. According to reports, the actor fell while running on the set in Jamaica and he hurt his ankle in the process.
The scene Craig was shooting was one of his final scenes in Jamaica. According to a source, “He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly. He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle.”
So, production was shut down and Craig was flown back to the United States to see his doctor and get some X-rays. We don’t know how long the shooting will be delayed, but the film was supposed to move to London’s Pinewood Studios to shoot at the end of the week. That’s been cancelled, though.
I bet Craig is really wishing at this point that he he wouldn’t have agreed to come back for another film. The other James Bond productions he’s been a part of have been rough on him and I’m sure you all remember him saying that he’d rather slash his wrists than make another James Bond movie.
While shooting Casino Royale, he had two teeth knocked out of his head during a stunt scene. In Quantum of Solace he sliced off the tip of a finger and tore a shoulder muscle. He went on to injure his knee during a fight scene in Spectre. Then he ended up signing on to star in this next one.
The movie is being directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and it also stars Rami Malek as the villain, Ana De Armas, Lashana Lynch, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen, Dali Benssalah, Lea Seydoux, Jeffrey Wright, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Naomi Harris, and Ralph Fiennes.
The release is currently scheduled for April 8th, 2020.
