Bong Joon Ho and Adam McKay Are Developing a PARASITE Limited Series For HBO

Director Bong Joon-ho is teaming up with director Adam McKay to create a limited series for HBO based on his critically-acclaimed South Korean film Parasite.

Parasite is one of the best films of 2019, which is why it is being showered with so many award nominations and awards. If you haven’t seen it yet, you’ve really got to put it on the top of your list.

We don’t really know much about the series, but it could end up being a direct English language remake of the film, or some kind of spinoff. The original film was so great, but it would be interesting to see how the story would play out as a ten-episode series or something. But, a spinoff that tells a different story could definitely be interesting as well.

The film deals with issues of greed and class discrimination and it tells the story of a poor family who, one by one, infiltrate the domestic lives of a wealthy family. This leads to a dark and twisted sinister turn that I didn’t see coming when I watched the film for the first time. I loved how the whole story was completely turned on its head.

With this series being developed at HBO by Joon-ho and McKay, there’s no doubt that whatever they do is going to turn out great! What do you think about HBO developing a Parasite limited series?
