BOOM! Studios Launching New Line of Graphic Novels Starting with BURY THE LEDE
BOOM! Studios is launching a new line of original graphic novels aimed at adults, and the first will be Bury the Lede. The new graphic novel comes from writer Gaby Dunn and artist Claire Roe and aims to “break new ground for…the kinds of characters readers find inside crime stories in general.”
“The book revolves around Madison T. Jackson, a 21-year-old journalism student whose internship at the Boston Lede newspaper brings her into the life of Dahlia Kennedy, a prominent socialite and suspect in the ongoing investigation into the murder of the rest of the Kennedy family. ”
Bury the Lede is described as a mix of The Devil Wears Prada and Killing Eve. That’s an interesting combination. BOOM! will launch the new title in October 2019. If you’re interested, THR interviewed Dunn, Roe, and Dafna Pleban who will edit the book.
