BOOM! Studios Releases First Look at ORCS! From Christine Larsen
BOOM! Studios has shown off a first look at cartoonist Christine Larsen’s (Adventure Time) new original comic series ORCS!. The series comes from BOOM!’s younger reader focused imprint KaBOOM! but it still looks like it’ll be fun to read, especially with your kids. ORCS! is currently set to run for six issues.
The Adventure Starts Here! Join Bog and his crew, who were banished from their Orc village by King Hrograhgah (it was a simple misunderstanding, involving an acorn-related prank!) and must now venture out into the world to seek their fortune and hopefully, one day, find their way back home again. Bog, Zep, Pez, Utzu and Gurh’s many adventures will find them entering the dreaded Eerieasallhel Forest, facing off against Trolls, Gnomes, squirrels and more, and even following in the footsteps of the legendary Orc hero, Dod One-Eye!
Fans will be able to read ORCS! #1 on February 10 with physical copies being available through local comic shops while digital copies will be available from comiXology (affiliate link), Google Play, iBooks, and Madefire. The main cover comes from Larsen while Sweeney Boo and Miguel Mercado have contributed variant cover art.
