BORDERLANDS Footage Reaction Video - CinemaCon 2024

On day three of CinemaCon, we were treated to new footage from the Lionsgate movie, Borderlands. If you didn’t know, Borderlands is a going to be the movie adaptation of the popular video game of the same title.

This all-star action-adventure follows a ragtag team of misfits on a mission to save a missing girl who holds the key to unimaginable power.

We here at GT were able to get a special look at the movie that hits theaters August 9th. Check this out:

The movie stars Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis, Kevin Hart as Roland, Jack Black's character Claptrap, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, and Florian Munteanu as Krieg.

In the film, “Lilith, an infamous outlaw with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet of Pandora to find the missing daughter of the universe’s most powerful S.O.B., Atlas (Ramirez).

“Lilith forms an alliance with an unexpected team – Roland (Hart), a former elite mercenary, now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina (Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Munteanu), Tina’s musclebound, rhetorically challenged protector; Tannis (Curtis), the scientist with a tenuous grip on sanity; and Claptrap (Black), a persistently wiseass robot.

“These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe could be in their hands – but they’ll be fighting for something more: each other."

We were able to listen to Director Eli Roth talk about the filming process and how much fun it was to make the movie. From what we have seen so far, it looks like the fun in making the film really translates through the movie. Are you excited for Borderlands? Please let us know what you think.
