Brad Bird's THE IRON GIANT Returning to Theaters With Two New Scenes

Director Brad Bird's The Iron Giant is one of the most beloved animated films among film geeks, and even though there's a really good chance you missed it during its theatrical run back in 1999, it's become a cult classic in the intervening years. Well, if you've never seen the movie on the big screen, now you have the opportunity, because Warner Bros. just sent me a press release revealing that the film is returning to theaters for a limited two night engagement. Not only that, but it's been remastered with "two all-new scenes" for you to watch.

Warner Bros. and Fathom Events are teaming to release The Iron Giant: Signature Edition in select theaters on Wednesday, September 30th at 7:00pm local time and select markets will also have the opportunity to see it in an encore screening on Sunday, October 4th at 12:00pm local time. Specific locations will be available in August at FathomEvents.com, along with the dates when the tickets go on sale.
