Brazil and Mexico Give Disney the Green Light After New Deal

CADE is the Brazilian agency whose translated name is The Administrative Council for Economic Defense. They have finally approved Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox under some similar constraints to what Disney is facing in the United States. Disney has agreed to sell Fox Sports and the related sports rights in Brazil for this deal to go through. Reports are also indicating that similar deals are being made in Mexico.

These deals are some of the final barriers that Disney has had to overcome and there’s a 10-day review period which means that the deal could potentially close as soon as March 8. This, of course, has many believing that the deal will be finalized during the first half of March. Are you excited for the deal to be done?
