Break that DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Rut with A WALK IN THE SPIRIT REALM
If you’ve played Dungeons & Dragons, you’ve probably hit a rut. Either the DM isn’t feeling 100% inspired, the party is struggling, or maybe your character just feels stale. Well, Jeff C. Stevens and Alan Tucker have created A Walk in the Spirit Realm in hopes of helping groups when they hit this rut. A Walk in the Spirit Realm is a brief adventure (advertised as 2-3 hours) in which the party agrees to help an orc shaman. Once there, the party notices that things are different in this plane as their stats are moved around and abilities change slightly. Warriors become spellcasters, spellcasters become martial brutes. It really sounds like a blast, but it does require a fair amount of preparation including a new character sheet (they have a YouTube video to help with that) for players to fill out. The best part is that the adventure can be played by any adventuring party regardless of what level they are. It’s designed to work for any level characters.
“The orc shaman, Haru’uk Durn is desperate. Something has gone wrong in the spirit realm where his tribe’s ancestors reside to test young warriors. And Haru’uk is asking for your help to fix it. Will you take a walk in the spirit realm?”
A Walk in the Spirit Realm is available for purchase from DMs Guild for $4.95.
