BREAKING BAD-Themed Bar Coming to London This Summer
Vince Gilligan's Breaking Bad came to an end back in 2013, but I still find myself thinking about it all the time. Not just comparing it to its spin-off, Better Call Saul (an unfair comparison, I know), but thinking about snatches of dialogue, actors' facial expressions, and even the occasional unorthodox time lapse. It's a show that's going to stick with me for a long, long time, and one I'm looking forward to revisiting as soon as I can.
If you live in or near London, you can take it a step further and visit ABQ, a Breaking Bad-themed bar opening this July that's named for the city in which the critically acclaimed series took place (Albuquerque, New Mexico). It's a pop-up bar that's inside an RV, and it'll cost you 30 pounds for a two hour visit inside the 22-person capacity establishment. Using “gas masks, smoke, and equipment familiar from your chemistry classes,” patrons will be helped by employees to "cook" their own cocktails. Sounds like a cool experience...if you can get in. The super small space requires a mailing list to make reservations, so even if you're the one who knocks, they might not open the door. Just tell 'em you're the danger, and see if that does the trick. Visit the official site here for more info.
