Brendan Fraser Alleges He Was Sexually Assaulted By The Former President Of The Hollywood Foreign Press Association
Sexual assault scandals in Hollywood continue to roll strong in 2018, and now Brendan Fraser is added to the list of actors who allege misconduct by a superior. The actor detailed what went down in the upcoming March issue of GQ (via Uproxx) and alleged he was sexually assaulted by the former president of the foreign press association Philip Berk. Here is what Fraser claims went down:
“His left hand reaches around, grabs my ass cheek, and one of his fingers touches me in the taint. And he starts moving it around.”
Berk admitted to pinching Brendan Fraser's butt in a memoir he wrote since the encounter, but Fraser's telling of the story varies significantly. Fraser said the experience devastated him and caused a lot of depression and conflict within him that he currently sees in the actresses coming forward with allegations. Berk denied Fraser's telling of the story, and while he did admit to writing an apology letter to Fraser following the encounter, he claims he admitted to no wrongdoing.
Fraser's full interview will be featured in this coming month's GQ.
