Brendan Fraser is Ready For Fourth MUMMY Movie Saying "Sign Me Up!"
Brendan Fraser has been getting a lot of praise recently for his role in Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale. He seriously gave an incredible performance and it’s kind of cool to see the kind of attention that he’s getting right now because of it. Fraser is now a trending topic of discussion and one thing that the fans keep wanting to know is if he would come back to The Mummy franchise for a fourth film. The answer to that is yes.
When previously asked if he’d like to play Rick O’Connell in The Mummy franchise again, he responded, “I don’t know how it would work. But I’d be open to it if someone came up with the right conceit.” In another interview he said was “absolutely” interested in the idea before asking, “got a script?”
Now in a recent interview with Deadline, Fraser shared his latest thoughts about it, and now he’s saying, “sign me up.” He said:
“Gosh, I don't know any juicy details about it, but it's kinda been an open-ended question for some time now. I'm not opposed to it. I don't know an actor who doesn't want a job. I don't think I've been this famous and unsalaried at the same time in my professional life, so sign me up. We've all got to start somewhere.”
I have no idea if Universal Pictures is even into the idea, but they must have at least thought about it with Fraser’s explosion of recent popularity. It would honestly be kind of crazy if they didn’t jump at the opportunity to try and make it happen. It could be a lot of fun!
We previously reported about the difficulty Fraser went through in making the original Mummy movies, as they were insanely physically demanding. But if he’s down for another adventure, I wouldn’t mind seeing it happen! What do you think?
