BRIDESMAIDS Writers Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo Back Together Co-Writing and Co-Starring in BARB AND STAR GO TO VISTA DEL MAR
Writers of the Oscar-nominated script for Bridesmaids are back together co-writing and co-starring in the upcoming comedy Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar. Kristen Wiig (SNL, Bridesmaids) and Annie Mumolo (Bad Moms, This is 40) are reuniting to give us another female-centric comedy story. This is fantastic news! I love the movie Bridesmaids, and I love Kristen Wiig and her comedy style. I love movies that tell stories about real women that understand what’s funny and what’s ugly and what’s real life. Josh Greenbaum (New Girl, Single Parents) will be directing the movie.
Here’s the rundown for the film from Variety:
The pic tells the story of best friends Barb and Star (Wiig and Mumolo), who leave their small midwestern town for the first time to go on vacation in Vista Del Mar, Fla., where they soon find themselves tangled up in adventure, love and a villain’s evil plot to kill everyone in town.
This sounds like a fun and ridiculous movie that will make us laugh until we cry! I can’t wait to see this movie when it comes out. Barb and Star is still in pre-production, but we will let you know when we get more cast and release date info. Does this sound like a movie you are excited to watch?
