Brie Larson Has Signed on to Star in Two New Films For Netflix

Oscar-winner Brie Larson (Room, Captain Marvel) has signed a deal with Netflix alongside A Star is Born producer, Lynette Howell Taylor, for a two movie deal. Netflix has them lined up for Unicorn Store, which will be Larson’s directorial debut, and Lady Business, which will be the next film Larson will star in after Unicorn, and which she will also likely direct.

According to Deadline, Lady Business “is based on a Fast Company article by John Paul Titlow, and tells the true story of two young female entrepreneurs, Penelope Gazin and Kate Dwyer, who had to invent a third male company founder in order to be taken seriously in the business world.”

And Unicorn Store “is based on a script penned by Samantha McIntyre, and centers on a woman who moves back in with her parents, and receives an invitation to a store that will test her ideas of what it really means to grow up.” Unicorn Store already premiered at Toronto, and co-stars Joan Cusack (Grosse Pointe Blank, Shameless), Bradley Whitford (Get Out), and Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Glass).

These both sound like original and interesting projects. And Larson is on fire right now. We will see her as Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel on March 2nd, then in Unicorn Store on April 5th on Netflix. We will let you know when we hear more about Lady Business. Are you guys excited about these movies?
