Brie Larson Says That CAPTAIN MARVEL Can "Definitely" Lift Thor's Hammer Mjolnir

Thor and Vision have been the only two characters in the MCU that were worthy of picking up the hammer Mjolnir. That is until it was completely obliterated by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. There was also, of course, that one time Captain America moved it a bit in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

With Captain Marvel poised to become the most powerful hero in the MCU, would she be able to lift Thor’s hammer? Brie Larson is confident that she can!

During an interview with BuzzFeed, the actress is asked about if Captain Marvel could lift it and she responded with a big smile on her face, saying “Yes, definitely.”

Unfortunately, we may never see her get the chance to try. If she is being built up as the most powerful being in the MCU, I guess it makes sense that she would be able to pick up the hammer. I don’t believe she’s ever lifted it in the comic books before though. I did a quick search to make sure, and she hasn’t been listed among the few that have.

I guess it doesn’t really matter in the end though, because there is no hammer to lift. But, I do wonder if Thor’s new Stormbreaker weapon abides by the same rules. If that’s the case, she can try and lift that! Or she can just fight Thor and see who wins.

I’m really interested to see how Captain America’s story arc will play out through the course of Phase 4 and see how her epic powers will be utilized.
