Bruce Timm Says Kevin Conroy Did Not Voice Batman in BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER

It was recently reported that the late Kevin Conroy had returned to record lines for Batman in the upcoming animated series Batman: Caped Crusader before he passed away. But, it turns out that is not true. Producer Bruce Timm recently confirmed that Conroy never got the opportunity to record his lines for the show. Conroy said:

"I have no idea if the [Crisis] part of IGN’s supposed scoop is true or not, but Kevin Conroy did not record a voice for [Caped Crusader]. We were hoping to have him do a voice for the new show (and he was eager to do it) but sadly he passed away before we could make it happen.

"As I have to do every so often, I will remind you all once again to take all un-sourced 'news' items in the sci-fi/comics/entertainment cybersphere with a huge grain of salt. Occasionally these 'leaks' actually turn out to be true, but often as not they’re just cynical clickbait."

That’s disheartening news. I was really excited when the news initially hit. This means there’s also a chance that Conroy didn’t record any lines as Batman in the upcoming third part of Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths. This means that the game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League might be Conroy's final turn as Batman after all.
