Bruce Willis' DEATH WISH Remake Gets a November Release Date

In case you forgot, Annapurna Pictures is producing a remake of MGM's classic Charles Bronson Death Wish film franchise. Bruce Willis is set to star in the film that's being directed by Eli Roth (Hostel, Knock Knock). I've never really been the biggest fan of Roth's films because they have no real substance, but I'm a fan of Bruce Willis, so I've gotta watch it.

There are no details on the remake, but the original 1974 film was based on the Brian Garfield novel about a vigilante who hunts down and stops criminals after his wife is murdered. Here's a description from the book:

For just a handful of money, they savagely beat Paul's wife and daughter, leaving his wife dead and his daughter comatose. Grief-stricken and forced to reevaluate his views, Benjamin becomes disillusioned with society and plots his revenge on the perpetrators, whom the police are unable to bring to justice. Armed with a revolver and total disregard for his own safety, he sets out to even the score.

The movie is set to be released on November 22nd and it also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Kimberly Elise, Mike Epps, and Elisabeth Shue. What do you think about this Death Wish remake? Will you be checking it out?
