Brutal and Bloody Red-Band Trailer For MEDIEVAL Starring Ben Foster and Matthew Goode
A red-band trailer has been released for the upcoming period war epic Medieval, which tells the historical true story of a medieval Czech warlord, Jan Zizka. The trailer teases the savage wars that will be featured in the film and there’s plenty of blood and brutal violence.
The film stars Ben Foster as Jan Zizka, and he’s joined by Sophie Lowe, Michael Caine, Matthew Goode, Til Schweiger, Roland Møller, William Moseley, Karel Roden, and Werner Daehn.
Medieval comes from Czech filmmaker Petr Jákl, and I hope the movie is as good as it looks! I like war epic films, so I’ll be looking forward to watching this! The one thing that I don’t like about this trailer is the music. I don’t like it when they use modern music for these historical epics. I feel like it cheapens it.
Inspired by the true story of Jan Žižka, one of history's greatest warriors. After the death of its reigning emperor, the Holy Roman Empire plummets into chaos while feuding brothers King Wenceslas of Czech and King Sigismund of Hungary battled for control of the empty throne. Daring and righteous mercenary leader Jan Zizka (Ben Foster) is soon hired by Lord Boresh (Michael Caine) to kidnap the powerful Lord Rosenberg's (Til Schweiger) fiancée, Lady Katherine (Sophie Lowe), to prevent Rosenberg's rise to power alongside the corrupt King Sigismund. Jan believes that Kings are the right hand of God and should be respected & obeyed, no matter what. As Katherine becomes caught in a dangerous political game between the monarchs, Jan falls in love with her strong spirit and dedication to saving the people.
Medieval will be released in theaters on September 9th, and then it will arrive on VOD starting October 31st, 2022.
