Brutally Badass New Trailer for Karl Urban's New Superhero Series THE BOYS

Amazon has released another trailer for their upcoming superhero series The Boys, and in my opinion, this is the best trailer yet! This think is locked and loaded with all kinds of insane, brutal, bloody, and badass footage that I know you’re going to enjoy!

The show is based on the comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and this series looks like it’s going to be awesomely fun! Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have been developing the series, and it stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as "Wee" Hughie Campbell, Karen Fukuhara as The Female, and Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk. Simon Pegg is also a part of the series as the father of Hughie, who was modeled after him in the comics.

I love that the creative team is going all-out crazy with this series! Like a baby with laser eyes being used to decapitate someone’s head. I can’t wait to watch this show! Here’s the synopsis:

In a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame, THE BOYS centers on a group of vigilantes known informally as “The Boys,” who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than their blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty. THE BOYS is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes – who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods – abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and Vought – the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes.

Billy Butcher (Urban), who is described as "mysterious and brutal with a personal but secret agenda. He approaches Hughie (Quaid), claiming to be a shadowy government operative. Butcher capitalizes on Hughie's rage over his girlfriend Robin’s accidental death at the hands of Superhero A-Train (Jessie T. Usher) and enlists Hughie as part of his plan to bring down the superhero system."

Supernatural creator Eric Kripke also helped create this series, and he will serve as the showrunner. The series will also star Karen Fukuhara, Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, and Nathan Mitchell. Enjoy the trailer!

The Boys Season 1 will debut on Amazon on July 26th!

Supes have been committing atrocities, which keep getting swept under the rug because they are revered by the adoring public. Billy Butcher recruits The Boys who have all been wronged by The Seven, the world's most notorious superheroes, to bring them down and stop the corruption.
