Bryan Cranston Comments on The BREAKING BAD Movie But Isn't Sure if We'll See Walter White
There are still a lot of questions regarding the Breaking Bad movie that creator Vince Gilligan is currently developing. The news came out from out of nowhere and surprised the fans, who were perfectly content with how the series ended.
We’ve learned that the movie will bring back Aaron Paul in the role of Jesse and follow his “escape from Albuquerque following the bloody events of the series finale.”
Some fans are wondering if Walter White will be included in the story. Some fans don’t want to believe that he died in the season finale of Breaking Bad. Well, Bryan Cranston recently appeared on The Dan Patrick Show and confirmed the film was in development, but he doesn’t know if he’ll play a role in it. He explains:
“Yes, there appears to be a movie version of Breaking Bad but I honestly haven’t even read the script. I have not gotten the script. I have not read the script. There’s a question of whether or not we’ll even see Walter White in this movie.”
It seems like he feels the door is open for him to return. If that happen, I imagine that it will include flashback scenes. Or maybe he will be haunting Jesse throughout the course of the story. I’ll be shocked, though, if Walter survived! SHOCKED!
Cranston also confirms that he’s talked about the movie with Gilligan, who is currently writing the script, and if Gilligan does ask him to come back to reprise his role, he’d “absolutely” do it.
Cranston goes on to say that the film focuses on “at least a couple of the characters that were not completed as far as their journey.” We know one of them is Jesse, but what other characters from Breaking Bad would you like to see return? I think it’d be fun to see Saul’s story continue.
The more I learn about this Breaking Bad movie, the more excited I get about it!
Would you like to see Walter White show up in some capacity?
