Bryan Cranston Goes for Oscar Gold in New Trailer for TRUMBO

If you’re a film geek, then Trumbo is one of those movies that you have to see. The movie stars Bryan Cranston as screenwriter Dalton Trumbo who was blacklisted as a Communist in Hollywood and even went to prison. After he was released, he continued to fight back by writing scripts under fake names. He even won two Oscars in the process. This looks like the kind of role that might just earn Cranston his own Best Actor nomination.

The movie was directed by Jay Roach (Meet the Parents, Austin Powers). This is a very different kind of film than we’re used to seeing Roach make, but this true story looks like it’s going to make for great movie. I’ve got a new international trailer for the movie for you to watch along with a clip.

The successful career of 1940s screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston) comes to a crushing end when he and other Hollywood figures are blacklisted for their political beliefs. TRUMBO tells the story of his fight against the U.S. government and studio bosses in a war over words and freedom, which entangled everyone in Hollywood from Hedda Hopper (Helen Mirren) and John Wayne to Kirk Douglas and Otto Preminger.

The movie also stars John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Alan Tudyk, and more. It’s set to be released on November 6th.
