Bryan Cranston Vs. James Franco in Funny Red-Band Trailer for WHY HIM?
20th Century Fox has released a hilarious red-band trailer for their upcoming comedy Why Him? The movie stars Bryan Cranston as a conservative, straitlaced husband and father named Ned who is introduced to his daughter's wild and crazy internet billionaire boyfriend named Laird (James Franco) for the first time. As you might expect, Ned doesn't want his daughter to be with this kind of guy so he sets out to try and break their relationship.
John Hamburg (I Love You, Man) directed the film, and while it may not be the most original movie idea, with this cast playing these characters it looks like it will be a ton of fun. I also included the regular green-band trailer for you to watch. The red-band trailer just gives you a truer sense of what you can expect from the movie.
Over the holidays, Ned (Bryan Cranston), an overprotective but loving dad and his family visit his daughter at Stanford, where he meets his biggest nightmare: her well-meaning but socially awkward Silicon Valley billionaire boyfriend, Laird (James Franco). The straight-laced Ned thinks Laird, who has absolutely no filter, is a wildly inappropriate match for his daughter. The one-sided rivalry—and Ned’s panic level—escalate when he finds himself increasingly out of step in the glamorous high-tech hub, and learns that Laird is about to pop the question.
The movie also stars Zoey Deutch, Megan Mullally, Keegan-Michael Key, Andrew Rannells, Casey Wilson, and Adam DeVine. Why Him? will be released on theaters on December 25th, 2016.
