Bryan Singer Confirms X-MEN and FANTASTIC FOUR Crossover Plans

We've heard a lot of rumors regarding X-Men and Fantastic Four eventually crossing over in some kind of movie event. The most recent rumor we heard was that Bryan Singer would direct Fantastic Four 2, and then direct the crossover film.

It looks like this could actually happen, depending on how X-Men: Apocalypse and Fantastic Four are received. In an interview with Yahoo, the director confirms that he has been talking with the "brain trust" behind the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot about coming up with a way to bring the two superhero teams together. He then tells them:

“Those ideas are in play. That would be a natural match-up because they’re both ensemble films and there is a natural mechanism by which to do it.”

He obviously doesn't go into much detail about how that will happen, but he did say:

“It deals with time. That’s all I’m going to say.”

As I said before, this crossover film is contingent on how the other two films turn out. Singer goes on to explain:

“We’ll have to see how the films turn out. To just say you’re going to do it would be a mistake, you have to see how the films evolve before you make that decision to completely commit to that.”

So even though there's a chance that the movie might not happen, Singer is still planning it out just in case it happens. It would be pretty awesome if these two teams joined forces in a movie. I'd love to see it happen, especially if Singer is the one spearheading the operation.
