Bryan Singer Has Been Dropped as the Director of RED SONYA

Well, it looks like Bryan Singer is no longer attached to direct Red Sonya. After a report surfaced focusing on allegations of of the director sexually assaulting underaged boys, producer Avi Lerner chose to stand by him and not fire him. He dismissed the story as "agenda-driven fake news."

After being bombarded by with calls, messages, and complaints, Millennium Films released a statement saying, “The project is not on the slate at the moment and is not for sale at the European Film Market in Berlin.”

So, the movie was put on hold. Now, THR is reporting that Lerner has dropped Singer from the project because he “was unable to secure a domestic distributor.” So, it looks like Singer’s career is on a downward spiral.

Singer has consistently denied these allegations and claims that he’s innocent. But, in today’s climate Hollywood isn’t taking any chances, and if they do, like Lerner did with Singer, there are consequences.

In the end, I never thought Singer was the right director for the project anyway.

What do you think about Singer being fired from Red Sonya? Who would you like to see direct it?
