Bryce Dallas Howard Will Play Elton John's Mother in ROCKETMAN
Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World) has landed the role of Elton John’s mother in the upcoming biopic Rocketman. Howard is a solid actress and this should be a good role for her to take on.
She will join Taron Egerton, who is playing John, Jamie Bell as Bernie Taupin, and Richard Madden as John's music manager John Reid. With such a big actress taking on this part, I imagine that the role will be a substantial one.
The movie has also been described as, "a biographical musical fantasy that will weave together John’s life and his music." The story will follow his emergence as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music to become a music superstar "who rebelled against his strict upbringing, wore outrageous costumes and became a global icon who teamed with songwriter Bernie Taupin to sell more records than just about any musical artist of his era."
Dexter Fletcher (Bohemian Rhapsody) is attached to helm the project from a script written by Lee Hall.
