Behind the Scenes Video for Sam Mendes's WWI Film 1917 Focuses How the Story Is Told in One Continuous Shot

We’ve got an awesome behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming Sam Mendes directed WWI film, 1917. The movie looks like it’s going to be an intense thriller of a war film that will show us an up close look at The Great War, the people it involved, and its timeline.

This movie looks insanely breathtaking, as well as moving and fascinating. And this featurette gives a cool behind the scenes look at the film and how the story will be made to look like it was told in one continuous shot, pulling us further into the story.

The film stars Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard Madden, George MacKay, Dean-Charles Chapman, and Andrew Scott. Here’s the synopsis:

At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers, Schofield (Captain Fantastic’s George MacKay) and Blake (Game of Thrones’ Dean-Charles Chapman) are given a seemingly impossible mission. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers—Blake’s own brother among them.
