BUMBLEBEE Director Travis Knight is Reportedly Wanted For GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3

Marvel Studios has yet to find a director to replace James Gunn on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 but according to a new report from The DisInsider, the studio is currently looking at possibly hiring Travis Knight to helm the project.

Knight is a great director that helmed the upcoming Bumblebee movie. He’s also the director who brought us the incredible Laika film Kubo and the Two Strings. Knight has proven that he knows how to properly develop characters and tell a great heartfelt story with humor.

If Knight actually does end up directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, you won’t hear any complaints from me. In fact, I hope this new is true and that he gets the gig. Sure, I’d much rather see Gunn direct it, but Knight is a great choice to take it over.

According to sources, Knight was one of the finalists to direct The Eternals for Marvel, but that job ultimately went to Chloe Zhao. If Marvel has been looking for a future opportunity to work with him, maybe Guardians 3 is it.

This is just a rumor at the moment, but what do you think about the possibility of Knight coming in to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 from a script written by James Gunn? Do you think he has what it takes to properly tell this next chapter of the story?
