Bumblebee Must Protect Earth in This New Trailer For BUMBLEBEE That is Filled With New Footage
There’s been a big marketing push for Bumblebee recently. Last wee we saw a few new promo spots for the fantastic looking Transformers film, and now today we have yet another new trailer to share with you that it loaded with fun new footage.
The trailer teases what the relationship between Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld) and Bumblebee will be like and also also lets us know that Bumblebee must protect Earth in order to help end the war on Cybertron.
Bumblebee was directed by Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) and after all these years we are finally going to get the Transformers movie that fans have been asking for.
Here’s the synopsis:
On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.
It was also revealed that Bumblebee has escaped from Cybertron to Earth and he's being hunted down by a Decepticon jet named Blitzwing.
We also learned that two other Decepticon villains, Shatter and Dropkick, who are voiced by Angela Basset and Justin Theroux are also hunting Bumblebee, and they team up with the U.S. military to try to catch him, which is where John Cena comes in. These characters are triple-changer transformers! They turn into muscle cars, as well as a Harrier jet and helicopter.
Bumblebee opens December 21, 2018.
